Help: Value

Most objects around the world have a value, which is based off of the
value of the raw resources used to create it. The value of an object can
vary slightly from one place to another, as some settlements value certain
resources more than others. With enough lessons invested into the Assesment
skill, you will be able to VALUE or APPRAISE <object> to estimate
the value of an item, bearing in mind your knowledge of local resource values.

Those who own shops have the ability to set a markup or markdown price on
the items they have for sale, which is based on the item's base value. By
default, the markup percent is set to 100% of base value, simply meaning if
a shopkeeper drops an item in their shop and does not adjust the pricing, it
will be listed for sale at its base value.

To change an item's sale value/markup percent, use the command SALEVALUE
<object> <%>
. The markup percent can be set as low as 1% and as high as 1000%.

Syntax:
VALUE/APPRAISE <object>
SALEVALUE <obj> <%>
