Help: Magister
The Magister of a settlement leads the charge in assisting newly awakened
dreamers and new citizens (of any age) across the world. It is the Magister's
duty to look after the well-being of novices, ensuring they are adequately
equipped and offered guidance and support throughout their foundational years.
Members of the Consul hold the unique privilege to select and appoint a worthy citizen to the role of Magister, which they may do using MAGISTER <citizen>.
The Magister need not be the settlement's greatest fighter nor most creative
crafter, but Consuls should take care to appoint a Magister with the proven
ability to communicate well and with the demonstrated patience and willingness
to answer questions from and attend to the needs of novices at any given time.
Magisters may appoint aides to assist them in helping care for the young by
using AIDE <citizen> MAGISTER. This is often considered a good first role
for younger citizens interested in taking on greater responsibilities in the
settlement, however aideships should not be given out frivolously. It is better
to have a small number of trusted aides who carry out their duties well rather
than many aides uncommitted to their role and responsibilities.
