Help: Affinity
There are two types of affinities in Mystavaria: Dream Affinity and
Forest Affinity.
Dream Affinity
Dream affinity is a representative value of how intune with the realm
of dreams your character is. Needless to say, skills that rooted in dream
magic (such as Dreamweaving and Vinedreaming) increase your dream
affinity by default. Skills rooted in reality and the physical (like
Tactition) decrease dream affinity. There are also quests which can result
in small increases or decreases to dream affinity.
Your dream affinity value is visible under STATUS, and can also be
seen by typing AFFINITY.
In the coming phases, dream affinity will directly effect how the dream
realm perceives and interacts with you. This will largely be based around
citadels which will be found in the fourteen mountains around Arborvella.
For now, this is just a cosmetic number, but keep an eye on updates for
more information soon.
Forest Affinity
On the other hand, forest affinity is a value reflective of how the
forests of Mystavaria perceive you. High affinity can be used to gain
certain protections while within the forest, and may even allow you to
become a citizen of the forest.
